Being the new guy is tough. No one knows you. Are you a good guy? Bad guy? Hard worker? Funny? Annoying? This can be a pain for everyone. Here a couple of things that have worked for me:

1. Stop trying so hard. You don't have to be everyone's best friend right away.

2. Don't act like you know everything. Even if you do, you only come across as an asshole.

3. Dont complain. Leave the complaining to the people who have been with the company for a few years already. If you are the new guy who complains, everyone will hate you.

4. Relax. It can be awkward when you first start a new job, but things will get better. Take your time adjusting and don't try to rock the boat until you really understand the company's culture.
